Tyrolean Wedding Venue with Tradition

Come dance with me in the Kaunertal

Between mountains, glaciers, and the villages of the Kaunertal lies a wedding backdrop like something out of a picture book.

Those marrying in the Tyrolean Oberland celebrate at the Kaunertal Saal, a place for the celebration of all celebrations – with tradition, charm, and lots of warmth..

Take a look – this is how they celebrate in the Kaunertal Saal

Love meets mountain air - Romantic weddings in Tyrol

Between the peaks and the hamlets at the foot of the Kaunertal Glacier, there are many romantic and natural "spots" in the Kaunertal to say "I do". A very special attraction and popular wedding venue is the parish and pilgrimage church of Kaltenbrunn on a steep wooded area at the entrance to the Kaunertal, 1260 metres above the valley floor. The well-known Tyrolean Baroque painter Franz Laukas from Prutz once adorned the main nave of the pilgrimage church with wonderful ceiling frescoes depicting the life of Mary. Three Baroque altars and the golden design provide a festive backdrop for the church wedding.

After the ceremony in Kaltenbrunn or in the parish church of Feichten or a ceremony surrounded by mountains, the wedding party goes to Quellalpin. Here, the celebration takes place in the traditional Kaunertal hall, just as you like it. And the afterparty is also taken care of: In the neighbouring bar Zapadello, the lights often only go out when the first rays of sunshine are already laughing over the mountain tops in the morning.

The suitable overnight stay

Plenty of stylish accommodation options before and after the festival are available: Apartments, guesthouses, and hotels for all requirements are just a short walk away from Quellalpin and the Kaunertal Saal.

The Kaunertal Tourism Association assists with selecting suitable accommodations.
