Tyrolean wedding venue that is steeped in tradition

COME AND PARTY THE NIGHT AWAY IN KAUNERTAL

Kaunertal in the district of Landeck, west of Innsbruck, is known for its archetypal mountain landscapes and a traditional atmosphere in its tranquil hamlets. If you are planning a wedding in Tyrol, you will find a wonderful backdrop here for the party to end all parties.

A romantic wedding in Tyrol

Between the hamlets at the foot of the Kaunertal Glacier, there are many romantic “squares” and dreamy chapels for newlyweds in Kaunertal. A very special attraction and sought-after wedding location is the parish and pilgrimage church of Kaltenbrunn in steep woods at the entrance to the Kaunertal valley, 1260 meters above the valley floor. The renowned Oberland baroque painter Franz Laukas from Prutz once decorated the nave of the pilgrimage church with wonderful ceiling frescoes depicting the life of Mary. Three baroque altars as well as the gleaming architecture in the middle of a pristine mountain world provide a festive backdrop for your church wedding.

After the wedding ceremony in Kaltenbrunn or in the Feichten parish church, your wedding party will travel along the Faggenbach stream and past fragrant mountain meadows to the Quellalpin Kaunertal. Celebrate here with a lavish reception in the traditional Kaunertal Hall that fulfils your every wish. And the afterparty is also taken care of: In the neighbouring Bar Zapadello or in the Pfiffalm, the lights often only go out when the first rays of sunshine are already rising over the mountain peaks in the morning.

Picture-perfect wedding photos

Are you looking for a very special backdrop for your wedding photos with "Die Lichtbildnerei" - Julia HammerleAndreas Schalber or Magdalena Landerer Fotografie? With a magical atmosphere for authentic pictures? You’ll find all of this and a precious piece of Tyrol’s history in and around the Ögghöfe, the Verpeil, Kauns and in the numerous natural “power spots” in Kaunertal.

Set in the middle of colourful mountain meadows and in an idyllic spot above Feichten, the Ögghöfe are a protected cultural monument of the region.  The traditional wood and stone walls of these 400-year-old farms are a reminder of the rooted way of life of previous generations. The last inhabitant of the Ögghöfe moved down into the valley back in 1980. Today, a quiet magic of the past hangs over this place, which gives your wedding photos a very special charm in the light of the mountain sun.
